Watch for a picture of my latest project - the afghan that will be donated to the church auction. I am not quite finished with it yet. I need to block and attach fringe. Once that is done I will get a picture taken and post it.
I haven't been posting much lately because of trying to get the afghan finished, work on preparing my Bible study materials to teach, keeping my house cleaned and picked up because, not only do I have that Bible study here on Friday mornings, but now also have my church small group meet here on most Sunday nights. HALP!
And I had started doing some decluttering but had to put that away so things are neat for Sundays. So now my bedroom closet is full to overflowing until I can get back to it. I really do want my flat surfaces cleaned off when small group is here. In order to do that it all gets shoved into the closet because I haven't had time to clear spaces where those things can find a home that is convenient for me.
Time. Yes, I have wasted a lot of time, too. I have gotten addicted to playing Dark Dimensions Mahjong. So when I don't feel like doing anything else, can't seem to stay reading email, or need a rest break from cleaning/cooking, I play my game. And if I can't seem to get far enough and run out of time before all the levels are completed, I must try just one more time, and then one more time. And then. . .
I am only writing now because small group has been cancelled. We have had freezing rain and roads are very slippery. Tonight they talk about a chance of freezing fog and it is either foggy now or it is a light mist. Either one is not good once the temp goes down a a couple of degrees. It has hovered at 34 most of the day so far.
Anyway, if you are interested in seeing the completed afghan, keep checking back.
Lorita, I am sure your afghan will be lovely. I still remember the one from last year and how beautiful it was!
ReplyDeleteHi Lorita!!! I am busy girl too!!! I sold my mobile home at the trailer this week and went up yesterday to pack up the momentos I wanted to keep. Jeff and I had just 3 summers there before he died suddenly. So now I have a ton of lake "knick Knack" stuff I have no idea what to do with!! I have more bath towels and beach towels for just me!! LOL!! So I am slowing going thru boxes and tubs and sorting for a HUGE garage sale in the spring!
ReplyDeleteWe got some of the freezing rain here in Indiana last night also. That is scary stuff to drive in. I look forward to seeing to seeing the afgan you made!! And be careful when you open your closet where you stored stuff!! If it looks my guest room closet, I hold my breath when I open the doors!!! LOL!! Got hit in the head with a vase last year!!
MJ
MJ, thank you for your comments. I am sorry to hear about your husband. At least you do have the memories of the 3 summers at the trailer. It is hard to pack it all up. We had a travel trailer parked at a lake resort for several years, and after my husband died, I camped one more summer but it was too much work and no fun doing it alone, so I sold it the next year, and had lots of stuff that I really didn't need anymore. I did leave a lot of things -dishes,etc, for the new owner since I had no use for it. But a 30 foot travel trailer doesn't hold as much as a mobile home!
DeleteWe are to get freezing rain here tonight. That is what happens when the winter is a bit warmer than normal. Then could get some snow on top of it tomorrow morning. Sounds like fun, doesn't it? At least we won't be getting what the east coast is in right now. They have really been hit hard this year. My step-grandson recently moved to Porland, Maine. I wonder how that California boy is liking the 30" of snow they got! And supposed to get storm surge flooding today. Doesn't sound like fun to me.
As for my stuff falling out of the closet, no, it is all on the floor already. LOL The shelves are too high and too narrow for 'stuffing'. It isn't quite Fibber McGee's closet yet.
